Live Data

Students don't just pass. They crush it.

Incept students consistently outperform their peers on standardized state tests — with over 9 in 10 earning a 90% or higher after completing the course.

That's not a fluke. It's the result of a knowledge-graph-driven curriculum, adaptive question generation, and a feedback loop that tightens with every student session.

Early results

We publish early because we believe in measuring from day one.

What a 79% is actually hiding.

Only 39% of 4th graders are proficient in math. By 8th grade, 27%. The gaps don't close. They grow. We wanted to understand why. We studied 240 students on one of the best adaptive math platforms on the market. Average accuracy: 79%. Students were struggling, and the platform's answer was to repeat the same content with penalties for getting it wrong. Kids weren't learning. They were anxious. 14 concept gaps per student were compounding underneath, and the system had no way to find them. It was treating symptoms. The disease was somewhere else entirely.

We found every one.

When those students started on Incept, the first session surfaced what months of repetition had missed. Every wrong answer traced back to the actual concept that was never learned. Not the problem they got wrong. The reason they got it wrong. Students who had been stuck for months started passing. Kids who used to dread math were choosing to do more. Not because the problems got easier. Because for the first time, someone diagnosed the real issue.

The research

One-on-one tutoring works. That was never the question.

In 1984, Benjamin Bloom proved that tutored students outperform 98% of their peers. The question was never whether it works. It was how to deliver it to everyone.

Around the same time, Siegfried Engelmann spent decades encoding what great teaching actually looks like into a precise methodology called Direct Instruction. When the U.S. government tested 22 teaching models across 79,000 students, Direct Instruction was the only one that worked across every measure. Two breakthroughs, one unsolved problem: nobody had the technology to deliver personalized pacing and verified instructional quality at the same time.

The timeline

Forty years of research. Two breakthroughs. One problem that technology can finally solve.

1984

Bloom's Two Sigma Problem

One-on-one tutoring produces a two standard deviation improvement. The average tutored student outperforms 98% of a conventional classroom.

Engelmann's Direct Instruction

Decades of research encoding precise instructional sequences that eliminate ambiguity. Every example chosen with intent. Every concept in the right order.

Why it's different

What would it take to actually fix this?

Find the real gap

Your child doesn't need more practice on the problem they got wrong. They need to find the concept they missed three levels back. We trace every struggle to its root.

Prove they actually learned it

Getting it right once isn't mastery. Your child proves independence: solving without hints, at increasing difficulty, before moving forward. No more false confidence.

Pedagogy, not guesswork

Forty years of research says there's a right way to sequence a lesson. Most edtech ignores this. We encoded it so deeply into the system that a bad question literally cannot ship.

A lesson built for them

Every session adapts in real-time. Correct answers raise the challenge. Struggle triggers support. If frustration builds, the lesson exits early. No grinding. No tears.

Have questions?

Common questions from parents exploring Incept.

What does the diagnostic actually show me?
icon

A complete map of what your child understands and where the gaps are, broken down by topic and concept. Not a score. A picture of exactly where they need help and why.

Why should I trust this over our private tutor?
icon

A great tutor adapts in the moment. But they can't trace a gap in long division back to the multiplication facts your child missed two years ago. They can't verify every explanation against 300 instructional rules. And they have bad days. The system doesn't.

What grades do you support?
icon

4th-grade math is live now. 5th through 12th are in active development.

What if my child is already doing well?
icon

The diagnostic often surfaces hidden gaps that don't show up in grades. If your child truly has no gaps, we'll refund the full amount.
